A Sneak Peek... Behind the Scenes
>> Thursday, June 10, 2010
As many of you know, Dad has written a powerful book on our experience with Sarah's accident and recovery. The book opens with life as we knew it in the early stages of 2005 - our family temporarily living in another state to be with Sarah in the hospital while she was in a coma.

She had a traumatic brain injury after being broadsided by a semi truck going 65 mph, and as Dad journaled our days and the lessons the Lord was teaching us, he didn't know how the book would end. We had no promises, no guarantees for the future. In fact, Sarah was ranked by one professional as being in the bottom 3% of those with any likelihood of recovery! As the days, weeks and months unfolded, God was shaping and molding us with each experience, including learning how to go through a crisis with Biblical guidance.II Corinthians 1:3-4 says, "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

I went with Dad and Mom to vvi for recording session #4 in order to catch a few shots behind the scenes. Thought you might enjoy a glimpse in to the work at hand!
Please pray for the blessing of God on this study set! Pray the hope this book points to would be a beacon of light to the many who are seeking help, that it would be profitable and instructive to many others besides us, and that God would be glorified in every detail.

What an amazing ministry the Lord has given your family through all you have been through! I pray many lives will be blessed and encouraged through this project!
Did you take the cover picture for the book? Is the book out yet? Let us know when it is!
Mikayla
@Mikayla: No, I did not take the picture on the front of the book. That was actually done by Rod Evans. I'll be sure to post when the book set is out!
Thanks for your encouragement and prayers, Lesley! :)
God bless!
